Swedish foreign minister stabbed. (Died)

It's pretty easy to see who would benefit from Sweden not going to the Euro....i.e. those on the Dollar. Right now, the Euro is almost matched with the Dollar as far as the GNP of it's nations. With Sweden added, it gets closer to the match (possibly even beating the Dollar, I'm not sure on the numbers there), so yeah...there is a lot at stake here.... I'd bet good money, that this isn't the last such assassination either....this is just the beginning I'd wager.... Environmentalists/Communists...equal fall guys, but I doubt many internationally are going to buy it....

Popularity, well, that party has about 38% of the votes and she was a socialist. But she was one of the few socialists that could deal with and was respected by the rightwing parties.

I do not really find anything suspect with EU. Some sheit like standardizing the size of strawberries yes, but otherwise, no.

Sweden is like Denmark and UK a member of the EU but so far not the EMU (European Monetary Union). But when Sweden joined it was in the contract to when EU had a currency Sweden would join it a a good time. So we are really not voteing for yes and no but yes and later.

EU is not striving to be a United States of Europe, it will not be this way. All people of all member countries say they do not want this. About a year ago some Frensh guy though that EU should have a president. This idea was quickly killed.

The reason for EU started with the Coal and Iron union. IT was a union between the old arch enemies Germany and France and it would make it more difficult for them to war. Benlux (Belgium, Holland and Louxembourg) soon joined.

EU is not going to be a country. It is a union of independant countries that has alot more to say of their own then a US state.

Say what? When i first posted this topic, she wasnt dead.. the she was in and out of surgery for a long time as the bleeding in her liver wouldnt stop, and finaly she perished.

STOCKHOLM, Sweden -- Police say they have issued an arrest warrant for a suspect in the stabbing death of Sweden's foreign minister, Anna Lindh.

Police did not release the name of the suspect and would not confirm whether the warrant was issued for a man seen in surveillance video recently made public.
