It seems they were testing the vector propulsion and infinite angle of attack of the raptor...

Then again it could be the new bomber based on the YF-23 (or the FB-22)... that so many rumors have mentioned...

Rumours usually describe the design as a big delta wing to increase the payload and stability...

Does anybody know were Northtrop tests its planes?

I'm not sure where they test them at, but It had to have been an F-22. The FB-23 is still in the concept phase and nowhere near flying yet. I know that Tyndall in Florida, Edwards in California, Nellis in Nevada, and Langley in Virginia have Raptors currently.

The best place to see them is actually in Marietta, Georgia. They are built there, and the first few flights of each new aircraft occurs there. They fly the Raptors several times a week. The highway runs right by the factory, so they are easy to spot.
