Also, our discussion ranging from the error message to Tom Jones is gone...

I think that is just a place where they put all the crappy topics.

Rather than delete threads, we move them to the trash bin... which is a forum that only staff can see.

Trash bin posts are not factored into board post totals.

You really wouldnt have to go through the garbage to find dead threads just weed through the forums here.

OK owing to the demand for a look in Trash, here is a screenshot of some of the deleted posts. Many are deleted from the Cosmic forum as well so you might not recognise them...
