He started tinkering with the engine of his jeepney to figure out how he could save fuel.He then noticed that the unburned fuel is present in exhaust fume. This gave him more challenge to solve the “pollution problem” from unburned fuel.

This is a very good sollution, less damaging output of fumes, more power of the engine..

My understanding of this device is that it might work well on a 1973 LTD, but the design flaws in these earlier engines have been overcome.
And modern engines benefit very little, if at all from this device..

What is Khaos Super Turbo Charger (KSTC)?
· KSTC is an air regulating device which introduces the right amount of additional air to the engine to obtain the proper air-fuel ratio for better combustion. KSTC has been cited with a Presidential Award as the Most Outstanding Invention for Transportation & Environment during the Filipino Inventors Week, Nov. 26-30, 2003 at Philtrade, Philippines.

yeah, even cars with a turbo(which forces compressed air into the engine) can detect that and inject more fuel to get the right mix automatically

Not only that but your handy dandy on-board sensors will automatically adjust the fuel/air ratio if you introduce another object into the pipeline. There is a good article in popular mechanics about supposed wonder fuel saving devices this month. The true bottom line however is modern engines burn 99% of the fuel introduced into the combustion chamber, meaning at best you could gain a theoretical 1% fuel economy bump. Sadly though every time gas prices spike you inevitably see a dramatic increase in "wonder fuel savers" inevitably for 39.95 plus 5.99 shipping and handling.

Honestly if you want to save fuel and cut costs save yourself the 39.95 plus shipping and spend 2 dollars on a box of brownie mix and find a neighbor that goes in the same direction as you in the morning. Society as a whole concentrates too much on convenience over conservation these days, and one day we will pay for our stupidity.
