IF the UFO phenomenon is a hoax then its hand down the greatest most well planned and longest running hoax ever seen on this earth. When you think of the scope it would need to encompess its mind boggling. For starters if you like me and do you far share of research yo u have found that certain things just line up. Im talking about two people who HAVE NEVER meet and are on other sides of the globe, what would there motives be to conspire on a hoax ?. Times this by 1000's of people and 100's of years and you see where this is coming from. Is there a secret web site where hoax's meet up in secret to perpetuate this phenomenon ? I think if you can disprove the hoax we can prove the UFO phenomenon.

What are you thoughs on this idea ?

If anything, people make fakes to gain a little fame. It doesnt mean its all coordinated.

Its not like people that fake crop circles all talk to each other, while we know that many of them are open to faking them.

The fakes of UFO's, aliens etc, are usually not connected.

First they are Unidentified Flying Objects. Can't really hoax what is unidentified. Identify a bump in the night. What was it? A monster? As adults we can rationalize the cause of the sound. Throw a disc in the air and all bets are off.

Problem with Unidentified Flying Objects is that the majority of the public actually identifies or quickly accepts the Object as being of alien origin. There is little or no objectivety in that. This is a perpetuated notion that is accepted and reported as such in popular media and forums such as this. For every valid incident there are hundreds if not thousands of lies or hoaxes.

It's also hard to deny some people have built careers for themselves by simply making charges without having to prove a thing. Sometimes promoting the very small percentage of real unresolved cases and adding detailed unsubstantiated bogus claims to them. People and groups will defend their positions and their livelihoods irregardless of the evidence or rationale to the contrary.

I'll end by saying that it's unfortunate that the few cases that really warrent continued research get burried by tall tales and preposterous theories. It's makes it difficult to keep and open and objective mind.
