Bomb Threat at Mayflower Hotel in DC

There have just been reports that there is currently a bomb threat at the Mayflower Hotel in Washington DC.

The news is reporting that the threat is highly credible and the bomb squad has been sent to investigate. This is just developing...

On Foxnews, the correspondent seems to think that this really is a bomb that they found in the basement of the hotel and not just a fake bomb threat.

EDIT: Now they're saying they destroyed a hoax device made to look like a bomb.

This is happening all over the western world. Its something we are going to have to put with.

Hoaxes have to be dealt with as real case scenarios. There are some sick minded people out there who take great pleasure in putting the public into a panic.

The security services have enough to deal with, without potential hoaxes.

I hope this turns out to be a hoax, and nothing more sinister.

CNN is now reporting the device has been obtained and it is a hoax. They are sweeping the building for anything else.
