has a MAG (magnetic accelerated gun) or MAC (magnetic accelerated cannon) been made?

im messing around with magnetics and such right now. i was wonderin if any sort of accelerator has been made with such things? if so to what extent?

Im not to sure actually, well about a large model, however there must have been some form of prototype model that has been developed....You are on about using magnets now, to accelerate an object out of a barrel....right ?

i plan to build a small one hopefully, its a bit different then a rail gun using electricity, it will use solely magnets. not neodymium or anything just all purpose magnets.

ima make a ruff draft and go from there
