It seems as if Griffen's preference for shuttle derived vehicles instead of the Boeing / Lockmart EEV's will define the future of manned space flight.

This plan means rendevous in low earth orbit as well as lunar orbit, as well as retention of the Canaveral launch infrastructure and employees.

There has to be a better way to spend 217 billion dollars.
