Iran recruiting suicide bombers for operations against Israel and the West

Well, looks like Iran will start to take a more direct terrorist stance against the west. Until now, it’s been more of a sponsorship role and some specific assassinations. But now it looks like out right direct terror attacks is the new doctrine.

“Tehran, Iran, Jul. 22 – A military garrison has been opened in Iran to recruit and train volunteers for “martyrdom-seeking operations”, according to the garrison’s commander, Mohammad-Reza Jaafari.

Jaafari, a senior officer in the elite Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC), told a hard-line weekly close to Iran’s ultra-conservative President-elect Mahmoud Ahmadinejad that the new “Lovers of Martyrdom Garrison” (Gharargahe Asheghane Shahadat, in Persian) would recruit individuals willing to carry out suicide operations against Western targets.

“The Lovers of Martyrdom Garrison has been activated and we will form a Martyrdom-seeking Division for each province in the country, organized in brigades, battalions and companies to defend Islam”, Jaafari told the weekly Parto-Sokhan…”

““One of our garrison’s aims is to spot martyrdom-seeking individuals in society and then recruit and organize them, so that, God willing, at the right moment when the Commander-in-Chief of the country’s armed forces [Ayatollah Khamenei] gives the order, they would be able to enter the scene and carry out their missions”, Jaafari said.

“The Imam [Khomeini] said years ago that Israel must be wiped off the face of the Earth, but so far practical steps have not been taken to achieve this”, the garrison commander said. “Our garrison must spot, recruit, organize and train martyrdom-seeking persons to be able to materialize this objective. Any delay in fulfilling the strategy of the Imam and the Supreme Leader in this regard will not be to the advantage of Islam or the revolution”.

“The United States should know that we have nuclear weapons, but they are in the hearts of our suicide bombers”, Jaafari added….”


Well, it seems Iran is up to MORE than just enriching uranium for nuclear weapons. The invasion of Iraq should never have happened, Iran is the real threat. They don’t even attempt to hide it.

The funny thing is that we in the west have similar programs... the martydom-seeking individuals see these army recruiting programs on TV and sign up

Your reply implies that it is suicide to join the US military. That is statistically incorrect. Not only is being in the US military not suicide, the death rate of actual soldiers in combat is statistically lower than the average non soldier living a normal life at home.

Iranian want to protect their country.

And if the Iranian use the save logic as that of US to protect Iran, they already attack US.

US invaded Iraq for nothing.

But it is a real threat from US to invade Iran.

Airplane bombing and suiside bombing are just different approach to attach enemy.

US uses airplane bombing and Islamic uses suiside bombing.
