New York in feb.

Every 2 yrs my friends from Wales travel to New York and I fly in from Vancouver to meet them and we stay for 5 days to watch a rugby match thats played in Dublin! Its only $100 more than going to Dublin and it isnt swamped by 50,000 rugby supporters. 2 yrs ago we stayed up by Central Park and the best time ever, using a pub called 'The Irish Pub' as our base just 1 block from our hotel.
What I need to know is, does anybody know a real good pub, Irish would be good, close to the Holiday Inn Downtown on Lafayette street. Somewhere we can relax in good boozer spend about $6000 on beer and have a good laugh! Not too posh in other words lol. Thanks.
