Katie Holmes was missing for 16 days before she publicly dated Tom Cruise

I really don't care about Tom Cruise's love life, and just ignored the rumors that Katie and Tom's marriage was arranged by the Church of Scientology for nefarious reasons, but I thought this was interesting:

The newly engaged Katie Holmes still has some explaining to do to her friends and family.

There were 16 days in April during which no one seems to know where she was.

Somewhere during that time, she decided to fire both her manager and agent, each of whom she had been with for years and who were devoted to her.

The manager, John Carrabino, also handles Renée Zellweger and is beloved by his clients.

Holmes also acquired a new best friend, Jessica Feshbach, the daughter of Joe Feshbach, a controversial Palo Alto, Calif., bond trader.

The Feshbach family, according to published documents, has donated millions to the Church of Scientology. Jessica's aunt even runs a Scientology center in Florida.

those conspiracy wedding theorys!

The Church of Scientology has had charges of kidnapping and brainwashing leveled against it in the past. Is the Church of Scientology brainwashing Hollywood stars, to affect the millions of people who worship them? Are they using Hollywood, and Holmes and Crusie in particular, to paint them in a more mainstream light? Are they manipulating, nay, brainwashing, prominent individuals, to manipulate the masses?

As strange as it is, I doubt they're brainwashing anyone, in the MK ULtra sense.

I heard that Cruise made a deal with Holmes over this. Claims say she signed a five-year, no sex contract with him. It's too bizarre. I don't give rats behind about it; but I have been looking at all their pictures, analyzing body language. I don't see her looking remotely in love with him. She looks like she's being felt up by her short little brother.

Put 1+1 together for a second here, she's gone for 16 days, then its all gossip news about the two of them. What do you think they were doing? They were having 16 days of crazy sweaty monkey sex.

I just heard tonight that rumours of Tom Cruise being gay are now resurfacing. That's what has everyone so suspicious; and that Cruise has always been so private with his personal life.

Another weird thing is several magazines, including the current issue of people say that since Holmes' whirlwind romance, she has not spoken to any of her longtime friends. They say that is weird. Other sources say she's just busy promoting her film "Batman Begins."

This was on TSG a bit back. Its Chris Kleins mugshot. That was her man for 5 years, untill she dumped him for Cruise. At the time of this, noone knew though. Pretty neat read.

I'd say "disappearance" solved. As well as why she left her fiance.

Anyways, I never could stand Tom Cruise for some reason and his behaviour and movies of the last few years only made it worse.

I wouldn't be surprised if he was a baby eating, goat shagging, right hand of Satan in person.

You know it's really strange.. I used to like Cruise's movies, until recent years. Both him and John Travolta (fellow scientologist) give me the heeby geebies. I could never put my finger on why though. Maybe its b/c there's something really fake about them both? Oh yeah, and scientology is a cult. And then there's the fact that Cruise divorced his first wife, dumped his second and now is all out there pushing this bizarre relationship like a movie. In the process my view of his ex-wife Nicole Kidman has changed markedly. I'm glad to see she finally got out of his shadow (not physically of course! ) I'll never forget the salvo she launched on him. I think it was on Leno or Letterman. She said, after their split, that she could now where high heels. BOOM!

His first wife was Mimi Rogers - who is also part of "$cientology." I think that in the back of our minds we all know that Cruise is just another typical individual who is uncomfortable with his true sexuality. He's just another Rock Hudson.

It is amazing how "$cientology" is slowly starting to get so much control over everything here in America. L. Ron Hubbard was definitely a nutjob, and what's even more amazing is the fact that nutjobs can get so many people to follow them so blindly - look at Hitler/Stalin/Mau (and just about every single freeky cult leader we've seen in the past hundred years, although I guess running a "government" is kind of like running a cult - you have your believers and dis-believers).

Looks like she undergo fat lip and a couple cuts.

Blow up the pic and you can see her upper lip, where it would be with that degree of a fat lip, meshed with makeup. Her bottom lip I also see as busted (same side). And another cut, under-lip / opposite side.

I've lost little 'bits' (heh) of my face before from over zellous types... then of course I had my buddies bugging me about cold sores for two weeks. And you know that a cut anywhere around or in your mouth just takes FRELLING FOREVER to heal specially if you don't 'give it a rest' for awhile to allow it to.

BUT ANYWAYS... its funny, because on one hand

- suddenly not talking to your friends (16 days of disappearence)
- massive upheavel in ones life (firing of long time agents and contacts)

Can be easilly attributed to her new relationship with Cruise without there being any conspiracy. YOU KNOW that (some) women are crazy.. and they do things that JUST DO NOT make ANY sense and SPECIALLY when falling in and out of love.

Firing of the agents? She isn't talking to her friends now? Well.. the biggest movie of the year is coming out in a month or two.. (Its a spielburg flick and a remake of a classic - ITS THE NEXT "close encounters") ..and you TEND NOT to 'hang' with your 'gang' much when you do hook up with someone new (specially if they are on the outside of your social circle) and are about to marry them. I don't like either Tom or Katie.. [his first choice was apparently Jessica Alba but she ran for the hills after a 'group interview' apparently] they seem like yuppie automotons but I think the same of Mel Gibson or George Bush.. aren't they in a cult as well? What makes them 'less creepy'?
