India vs Pakistan Ailen Intervention ?

Around 2003 India and Pakistan almost nuked each other over the Kashmir region. Foreigners packed thier bags and left and most embassies evacuated too. It was a worrying time as the world was caught off guard by the rapid pace of developments. And then just as the world held it's breath muttering WTF the two sides backed off and now they are resuming normal relations thank God. But what i want to know is does the reported ailen activity in the Himalayan/Tibet region have anything to do with the two sides backing down? Reports indicate India was contacted. Was this the same for Pakistan ? I'm not sure if i believe this myself but thought if anyone could shed some light on events !

No idea (never heard of them neally nukeing eachother)

I have heard about a base near china/india (in the middle of a "disputed area") apparently both have guards on each side to stop people going "off the track"
