appologies in advance for any mistakes or feux pas in posting a news story...my first time doing so.
"WASHINGTON - Exhaustive tests have confirmed mad cow disease in an animal apparently born in the United States, officials said Friday. It is the
second case of the disease confirmed in this country, but Agriculture Secretary
Mike Johanns stressed there was no threat to public health."
What really pisses me off is how Johanns expressed such amazement and shock that some inspector general had gone over his head and ordered an
additional round of tests.
And the US wonders why Japan and South Korea don't want American beef? I live in Japan and admit that I miss cheap US beef, but I think I'll be
happy to stick w/ the Aussie stuff that's thuroughly tested for the time being.
