Explosions rocked two movie theaters in the Indian capital Delhi that were screening a controversial movie. Police have not yet determined who was behind these attacks. Other movie theaters showing the same movie were shut down as a precautionary measure. The movie became controversial when the highest decision-making body of the Sikh religion said the movie title misused a battle-cry.

One person has been killed and at least 49 injured in bomb blasts at cinemas showing a controversial film in the Indian capital Delhi, officials say.

The first device went off at about 2030 (1500 GMT) in the crowded Karol Bagh shopping district. The second blast hit about 15 minutes later in the west.

Both cinemas were showing a film that has been criticised by Sikh religious leaders for denigrating their faith.

The blasts were an obvious attempt of religious fanatics to impose their religious diktat. Killing and maiming people just because they went to see a movie that does not confer with your views is sickening. Lets see if the Indian government (which is notoriously slow) brings the perpetuators to justice and hope that the people don’t succumb to these bullying tactics.

Hummmmm
reminds me of the jewish protests of "Passion of the Christ"
except of course, the jews didn't blow up theatres...

Kinda makes them look bad in relation to christians and Jews...
you would think they would consider the possible backlash from such an idiotic bombing...
