Yeah thats right, but thats not it. Investigators have also found evidence that 200 felons were allowed to vote and more than 100 instances of Double voting.

But U.S. Attorney Steven Biskupic states that there was no widespread conspiracy here it was just another isolated incident.

"I don't think there's an election in this municipality or this state that would have been decided differently even with those numbers," said Mayor Tom Barrett, a Democrat.

Democrat John Kerry received more than 71 percent of the 277,000 ballots cast in Milwaukee in the presidential race, and he took the state of Wisconsin by about 11,000 votes.

The investigation was launched by local and federal authorities after the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel found, among other things, that more than 1,200 people voted from invalid addresses. The head of the city's election commission has since resigned.

Wisconsin allows same-day registration, and those who are already registered can simply show up at the polls without ID.

Good post, but it won't get many responses. The big thing nowadays is voting fraud causing Democrats to lose, not win. There will be no uproar over this.

Democrats would rather consentrate on Florida where Bush WON by over 380,000 votes, or on Ohio where Bush WON by over 118,000 votes.

It doesn't matter that Kerry won Wisconsin only by 11,000 votes.

Read the 2nd line of BlackJackal's post and do the math.

Then throw in the tire massacre and it really starts to add up.

MILWAUKEE - Five Democratic campaign staffers - including the sons of a congresswoman and a former city official - were ordered Tuesday to stand trial for allegedly vandalizing Republican get-out-the-vote vans on Election Day.
The five are accused of slashing the tires of 25 vans rented by the state GOP to drive voters and monitors to the polls. The felony charge carries a maximum punishment of 3 1/2 years in prison and a $10,000 fine. Arraignment was set for March 4.

I see that Kerry is overwhelming popular in one urban center of an otherwise Republican state.

All Bush and Co. had to do was make up some ground in Milwaukee and voila. It appears that they fell 11,000 votes short.

And yes, the tire-slashing was extremely unfortunate, and also dirty and illegal.

It was also extremely crude, poorly planned, and most likely not related to this story. (except to show that neither side plays fair.)

But this article does not say who the fraudulent votes was for.
