Newsweek

This is a facility where they dismantle nuclear weapons.

Pantex, situated around 17 miles northeast of Amarillo, which has been the main site in the U.S. for dismantling atomic bombs since 1975.

Yes it’s mentioned in ufo circles as a jellyfish ufo was filmed there… footage still classified.

The Pantex site evacuated all non-essential personnel from the site overnight with employees constructing a fire barrier to protect the facility from the encroaching wildfire.

On X, formerly Twitter, Pantex confirmed there was no fire at the facility itself and "all weapons and special materials are safe and unaffected."

Assuming you should believe exact opposite our government says now a days I would get as far away as possible.

Prayers for all in the region. Hope this doesn’t become bad.

Any locals with info?

You can see the smoke plume in real time on the NOAA GOES satellite feed:

Before you bite too far into this, go to maps on your phone, select satellite image, and go to Pantex. I don’t know why they are evacuating the place other than maybe roads going home getting ran over by the fire, but the plant? No way.

Just checked the link, all I'm getting is cloud cover.

Possible rain in the region to help extinguish the fires?

I read about this earlier, the evacuation was for last night. But everyone was told to go in as normal this morning.

Glad things sounding well.

Conspiratorial mind would think about all those foreign nations sending military aged individuals, and problems we’ve been having with grid lately.

Maybe I’ve just been on ATS too long.

Wildfires suck.. I hope the people who live there are safe and don't suffer any damage to self or property.

...but...why are we dismantling our nuclear weapons? Won't we need them for the alien invasion or world domination?

In all seriousness I hope they get that fire put out. The consequences could be devastating.
