The 2009 Aftonbladet Controversy

The Aftonbladet–Israel controversy refers to the controversy that followed the publication of a 17 August 2009 article in the Swedish tabloid Aftonbladet, one of the largest daily newspapers in the Nordic countries. The article revealed that Israeli troops harvested organs from Palestinians who had died in their custody.

In December 2009, a 2000 interview with the chief pathologist at the L. Greenberg National Institute of Forensic Medicine Yehuda Hiss was released in which he had admitted taking organs from the corpses of Israelis, Palestinians and foreign workers without their families' permission.

As director of the Institute at Abu Kabir, the only place in Israel authorized to conduct autopsies in cases of unnatural death, Hiss conducted the autopsies of and authored the pathology reports for notable figures, including Yitzhak Rabin and [d]Rachel Corrie, among others.

Investigations of the newspaper Al-Ahram, revealed that Hiss had removed organs, bones and other tissues from corpses, against the expressed wishes of family, and had sold many of the organs he removed to medical institutions and universities.[11] He remained the chief pathologist of the Institute and regained his position as director before being dismissed by the Deputy Health Minister Yaakov Litzman on Oct 15 2012.[3]

Even after it was revealed what he was doing it was years before he was removed.

Just which parts of Corrie’s body Hiss took remains unclear; despite Hiss’s claim that he “buried” the samples, her family has not confirmed the whereabouts of her missing body parts.

Now the question remains does Israel still conduct these practices?

1 - They are not intentionally targeting women and children in Gaza.

2 - Any dead people in Gaza ... their bodies remain in Gaza. The dead in air raids lay dead - either rotting in rubble or buried by the living. And the soldiers aren't mass carrying dead Hamas they shot back from Gaza into Israel. There is ZERO evidence of that.

So no ... it's not 'very likely' this is happening at 'an even more accelerated rate'. You made that up.

There is no evidence that such a practice is occurring in the current conflict. In all probability, it would be significantly harder to suppress or hide such a conspiracy with the intense media attention the war is receiving along with the sophisticated tools of citizen journalism that exist now, compared to when these incidents were said to have happened.

I really doubt that the soldiers are going to take time out from their intense combat situation to take a course on how to harvest organs ... and then figure out how to get the harvested organs safely out of the war zone and back to Israel without decomposing etc etc Some common sense is required here.
