A man in Ennepetal, Germany has taken somewhere between 4 to 7 school children hostage. Using a knife the now unidentified man forced the children off the school bus and is holding them in a building. The police have surrounded the building.

BERLIN - A man armed with a knife took several schoolchildren hostage Tuesday in the northwest German town of Ennepetal, a police spokeswoman said.



The man forced between four and seven children ages 10 and 11 from a school bus and held them in a building, said local police spokeswoman Sandra Zwick.

It looks like the children have been freed.



ENNEPETAL, Germany - Four schoolchildren were set free unharmed Tuesday after being held in a cellar for more than five hours by a man wielding two knives, police said. Police sharpshooters had surrounded the house where the children were being held hostage.
