It appears things might get complicated for Germany/Eupore if Russian Gas Stops Following From Ukraine this Year.

According to Robert Habeck, German economy minister.

He gave a warning.

This comes after the Russia-Ukraine gas transit agreement is due to expire next year.

Germany Warns of Industry Shutdown If Russian Gas Stops Flowing

Issued a stark warning over the possibility of halting industrial capacity in the winter without Russian gas following through Ukraine, saying that policymakers need to continue to take precautions to secure energy supplies.

It expires at the end of next year. Given the way that the rest of Europe has weaned itself off Russian oil and gas, they'll have found new suppliers by then. That's a year and half. Frankly I don't think that Russia can survive a year and half more of this war, it's been a disaster for its economy as it is, as well as a disaster for its armed forces.

Right, we are all going to freeze to death and our economies will all shut down.

Just like last winter.

Best we all let Putin have what he wants and appease him.

Have I got that right?

Germany has had nine years to sort this out.
When can I stop feeling bad for them over there lack of planning?

You mean the same Russian Energy from China/India?

Europe will never have the money for the American LNG.

Maybe if only Germany had a real independent foreign policy away from the American one.
Maybe Europe right now would have a stronger economy as India is.

Just like last winter.

Last year there were no blizzards, heavy snowfalls in most Euporean Countries, in fact it was a mild winter for many in Europe.

Because of the Mild Winter, it caused issues for Italy recently.

I am sure Europe will do so well buying American LNG with a heavy price tag than the cheaper energy.

Other sources are available that don't mean paying Russia blood money.

Renewable energy sources are coming on stream.

Russia has cut it's own throat.

When it's economy collapses, you will be the one wailing about this sort of stuff.

The ruble is just as strong now as it was before the war. Even the IMF predict the Russian economy to grow in 2023, can we say the same for any Western countries that are funding Ukraine?

IG Farben or as they're now called Bayer. Funnily enough they haven't stopped with the medical experimentation on populations.

You think the German renewable infrastructure can replace Russian Gas?

I beg to differ.

With only 46% of it's current energy provided by renewable energy and a target of 80% by 2030, next year will be far too soon to replace a shortfall of almost 30% which is currently fueled by natural gas.

That's not to mention the 35% of total crude oil imports and over 50% of coal supplies that are also sourced from Russia.
