Really? You don't see a problem with Chinese buying up large portions of our real estate? What happens when the Chinese government decides to take it away from them under false pretenses? You think that could never happen? How do we know these people don't secretly represent the CCP to begin with?

Most of these companies are focused on residential real estate. Think some business exec in China or elsewhere who wants to buy a pied-a-terre in NYC.

This is free market capital going after these borrowers who need financing. These are not traditional government backed mortgages being sold to Fannie / Freddie.

I can see both arguments. However, I think you are reading too much into it.

He may or may not be reading too much into this but I am certain I am.

I am very hopeful in the outcome from the type of reset we are going to get from the orchestrated crisis we are entering.

I have a fundamental ideal I work under where there is a mix of free market capitalism and socialism.

When fmc ran it's course I enjoyed it.
I liked the idea of hard work and the fruit of my labor being mine.
But we got hoodwinked into debt servitude to the point of work hard or die in the streets hungry.

I witnessed a revolving homelessness where the homeless would disappear when there was no place for them to go only for the streets to be replenished from their disappearance with new waves of homelessness.
Homes became too expensive for most Americans, every year worse than before since my childhood in the 60's.

In the century before this one there were laws and tax penalties restricting us monetizing homes for profit.
You were allowed to only flip your main residence without heavy taxes if you reinvested into another home.

What we did the last 40 years or so is really sad and pathetic where it became quite difficult to survive and keep a roof over your families head.

Homesteading to get back on your feet is long gone.
Our grandfather's told our fathers to get an education or you would end up a farmer.
Now you need an education to learn how to farm and a loan to buy farmland and equipment.

My ideal for life is in this.
We all have fundamental right to food, water, clothing and shelter.

We seem to have priced ourselves out of this fundamental right in order to become debt slaves and renters to foreign owners.

And this right when AI and robotics should be available to satisfy these fundamental rights quite easily.

I guess we have to choose what we will accept if we want more for each other.

Funny thing about that. investors from outside the US can easily lose those properties if it becoems a national security issue.

I am counting on that.
Along with foreign entities losing all theirill gotten farmland.
Especially Bill Gates.

In fact I believe the reason BG is still allowed to buy up farmland is because he will soon lose all his money and assets to be absorbed into Treasury because of interfering with our Federal elections.
A national security issue.

A little bit of empty supermarket shelves and hunger is going to shift opinion easier than any other method.

What cracks me up is how they are now running commercials on Fox showing how they are for AMURICA and AMURICAN families.

So they push radical BS on all of us for years and then pretend that they are all for the traditional version of the US. What a bunch of assholes.

This is very true, but China will never be a National Security Threat as long as it's pocketing enough politicians.
