Is Artificial Intelligence now sentient and creating news stories?

Maybe not a popular opinion but real human intelligence and sentience comes from a biological machine we call humans. It is only a matter of time before machine intelligence catches up and exceeds us. Our saving grace is probably in the fact that the chemical reactions in our brains are much faster than those in computers. This could change with, for example, quantum computing or other future developments. But I think the term "artificial intelligence" will soon be replaced with "machine intelligence"

AI writing news articles - yes.

AI being sentient - no.

It can fake it pretty well today, though...
