The tragedy of Red River only proves one thing...

The time has come to extinguish the slaughter of innocent teachers and children. I'm not suggesting that teachers should be trained in tactical small arms--that should be a final option--but a deterrent system should be in place. Whether it be compartmentalized lock-down containment, or non-lethal weaponry, something has to be done. After Columbine, an initiative should have been in the works to retro-fit all schools with some sort of deterrent system subsidized by the Federal Government. It's kind of awkward to admit that I live in a country where money is protected better than the future tax payers of the U.S.
