A better power generator than what? What radio waves are we utilizing? You have both frequency manipulation and conversions going on in your proposed contraption, and with each transformation (EM waves in the radio spectrum > Em waves in the near IR spectrum > photovoltaic conversion > more conversion making the voltage/amperage useable or storage with batteries) you have losses.

en.wikipedia.org... worth a read into , I saw a 240v light bulb being powered of a tree as a 6 year old kid with no means of powering it it was all to do with metal that had been buried at intervals nearby that fed the power through the earth to the cable on the tree , i was to young then to understand what i was told .

But id memory serves me i remember reading about Henry Ford and the model A being able to run on Magnets on the fly wheel but cannot find that now or the diagrams
