Well, for such a simple question, it requires an incredibly complex response. In the interest of time, I'm going to sum up the key points, and people can do their own research if they'd like a deep dive.

The Clinton's, Russia, China, white supremists, WEF, Soros, women haters (all men), and white people.

Key events: Hanging Chad's, birth certificate (or lack there of), Russia hackz, China did something with the demensia hair sniffer (still waiting for the bamboo Blockchain ballots to figure this one out.) The Gayz, and the teenage mutant genitalia.

Other people are going to try an distract you with trivial matters like the economy, rights to privacy, and general government function. But those are just tropes, or back burner issues at best until we knock out the matters at hand, like if I can marry my gender fluid dog, and abort our pup.

I have to give them credit though. This is one of critical times in my life, and they are able to drum up some absolutely asinine talking points.

Instead of lobbying, we need out politicians to help out the industry of streaming content after their public service. Their theatrics and production value are top notch, and could help Netflix with declining subscribers.

I've said this many times before, for all of Trumps personality faults, Trump did exceptionally well.

Of course I'll continue to support Trump and will do so again.

People, you're not getting a divine god emperor with ZERO faults or personality quarks. So, when people say they don't like Trump because of his personality while ignoring his legislative success, YOU'RE THE PROBLEM.

What is an American? Freedom loving, know it all, do it all people. The premise and foundation of our Country operates off the fact that the population is sufficiently educated and at best, minimally enlightened about National events and abroad.

So, when mob rule creeps up and ignorancy takes hold, it's hard for the population to reintegrate fully and completely. These radicals began to judge and determine based upon FEELINGS and EMOTIONS, rather tried and true, successful application and basic logic.

To the people chuckling at our only two options, this is what we got and all we got. You want to make change? Go run in the election and show me why I should vote for you.

At least with Trump, we had a working economy, bar none.

Trump has the benefit of the doubt, why? He showed us just how corrupted our political and media institutions are. How hoplessly connected some people are to mainstream.
Trump isn't a messiah, he's just your typical American calling out things and most important of all, putting Americans first.

If Clinton runs, she'll be obliterated by all the findings presented on the russian collusion case.
Newsome would be clobbered with memes of his disgusting state.
All they got is Michelle Obama, they'll appeal to Women, Black Americans and Democrat emotions in one fell swoop. Should the latter happen, Trumps VP will determine that race.

I doubt if trump will run again. Without Fox as his mouth piece and his constant need to have his ego stroked; he needs the media and lost it via Jan6. He also needs the GOP and his support there is leaking bad and switching to Desantis.

All and current polls continue to show Trump with overwhelming support within the GOP.

How does an economy go back to normal after something we just went through?

I certainly can't imagine that happening while all those with any power refuse to take any kind of accountability, much less actually try and address it.

We could go down a very long list of what got us here. Every line item is a bad decision spanning multiple decades and multiple groups of shot callers. I think we could even argue if it would have happened without COVID if we continued on the same trajectory coupled with time.

All of this is just the last agonizing gasps of a dying experiment in market capitalism and freedom.

I'm just glad I'm old and won't see the end of it.

As cynical as I've been recently. There is somewhat of a saving grace.

The next decade may not have stupid easy prosperity like in the past. But if we're thinking about how we're positioned in the world, it could be worse.

There's a lot of things I disagree with. Like how the government has been frivolous with resource deployment, including their energy. Or how we've been using certain kinds of tech so heavily weighted in the benchmark for our economy (S&P500).

But the USD is still the reserve currency and I don't see thay changing. We have had some industries that have been on the forefront of innovation. And we are far from irrelevant in global culture.

At the end of the day, I still believe our countries politics are a manifestation and or reflection of our societal condition. The politicians themselves merely a symptom of the overall ailment. People may be forced to become more thoughtful and pragmatic in their world views and actions. And sadly, even if they (predictively) don't, I don't see the EU or China filling that gap anytime soon, although I used to think the latter would.

While it may not be absolute doom and gloom (though the possibility certainly exists), the reality will still be bleak. Stagnation, under performance, and generations disconnected with what the human experience is.
