Ok... Thanks for the info.

Credit cards were still working all day at my business (I'm in Alberta), but yeah, debit was down the whole day. Nobody I've talked to knows what's going on. I assumed a hack, but zero evidence of anything other than zero communication from Rogers so far.

Ah, I see it now....

Recently discovered a potential breach and will have to keep services down until Monday July 11 to make sure no other breaches happen...

Hack ers post says Rogers service will be down until at least Monday

Fun times at work today because of this. Angry people leaving shopping carts full of food because they can't be bothered to read the notices on the door, nor apparently, can they hear the two people at the door notifying everyone who enters.

I'm seriously suspicious that something in the water here is making people stupid.

Just after 10 pm here and STILL all debit and ATM systems are down here in Thunder Bay.

Luckily my ISP and mobile are not on Rogers.
I use Virgin.
I keep it 100% Holy in this B.
All the sinners are feeling the internet Gods wrath.

I had to borrow $40 cash today from a friend because like an idiot, I don’t carry money.
Not even an emergency fund.
That’s changing once this blows over.

It’s floating around on Twitter that this COULD be a cyber attack.
I’ll go with that for now because Rogers is saying they still don’t know what caused the issue.

I feel bad for a friend. He brought his daughter down to Toronto this morning to see a concert.
Got off the plane and it was all hell from the get go.
He had to pay out of pocket to get into their hotel.
The Concert is cancelled.
And now they are stuck in the hotel room because they used all cash on hand to pay for the hotel and deposit.

I've seen more than a few people on the side of the road, probably out of gas.
I haven't checked but i can imagine the border being a gong show too because digital QR codes.
Detected a few bars now and then, i expect it to be resolved by the morning
