A Winding Road - SN2022

There's nothing to do in this town but drive far out of it and light things on fire. And that's what we were doing. Car packed for weekend. Driving out that long winding road towards open dispersed camping.

The air was off though. The road looked off.  Still. Dead. Sound didn't travel. The light was off, even the color seemed off. And no other cars in sight. Weird that it was only us.

Then...

"I'm not going to ask you again, what are you on?" Said the officer.  "You were all over the place, on a completely different road!"

The temporarily crossing over into an alternate dimension stories are among the most interesting and creepy to me.
