They are doing everything to stop a peaceful solution. Why is the Ukrainian side attacking Russian cities from Ukrainian territory?

Nobody 'told' them to do anything, Ukrainians are attacking the fuel and ammo depots inside russia that are being used against Ukraine.

Russia invaded Ukraine to steal land, did you really think that Ukrainians wouldn't fight back?



The real question is, why is russia attacking hundreds of Ukrainian cities?

You are right Putin does not care about the UN anymore, but not for the reason you think, I suspect, but rather because the UNSC would not deal constructively with Russia's concerns about massacre of 14,000 civilians in Donbas by Ukraine since 2014*, nor the discovery of us operated biolabs in Ukraine

Correction,

Eastern Ukraine was annexed from Bolshevik Russia in 1922 and east of the river Dnieper was never ethnically Ukrainian.
