i just watched the last 15 mins of his speech.

he said a bunch of other crazy stuff too.

50 presidents, vote suppression and of course the repubs are the bad guys.

listening to applauses, it sounded like 25 people tops.

it was a total bust in my opinion.

anyone else catch some of it? what did miss?

And furthermore, don't you know, the less people pay attention to buffoons, the less attention they thus get, and the less important they feel and they tend to walk away?
Same thing works with covid testing sites. And fake pandemics

I don’t even bother listening to him anymore, the only ability a US president now requires is to be able to read a teleprompter. Biden even struggles with that simple task most of the time.

Our politicians worldwide are compromised.

Biden calls for end to filibuster to pass voting rights legislation

“Pass it now," the president said in Atlanta, referring to the Freedom to Vote Act and the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act. “I am tired of being quiet.”

Just play make believe in your head for train wrecks. its more fun. or watch online.

When our real lives are impacted by giving government 'officials' our energy and time we should all just effing walk away.

just walk away

I have hope that in their minds more and more people are voting no confidence and not paying attention.

it starts with masks and common civility. ie saying no to idiocy.
its a long hill to climb.....

Supporting getting rid of the filibuster, and actually making it happen, are two very different things.

Even if Biden does manage to make this happen, the Democrats will be in full-force for its reinstatement the minute it'd work in their favor.

HMMM... im curious why anyone would think we would NEED to vote NEW LEGISLATION to give us fair voting rights? does that seem suspicious to anyone else and why would we need to change the fabric of our republic to do it.... the devil is in the details.. they are actually TAKING rights from you. not giving new ones that are already not needed?

As soon as the Republicans flip the house, the Democrats will want it back. It’s a powerful tool to the party that’s not in control.

It's a good idea. At one point the Republicans were all in favor of getting rid of it.

It really should go. It's just a time-wasting exercise. We can get better legislation if we force them to quit playing stupid games and actually negotiate terms instead.
