A tax for carbon footprint has been launched in a state.

The objective is to provide solutions to conserve biodiversity and reduce the carbon footprint.

"The mechanism implies that there will be payments for environmental services for the regeneration of threatened and degraded forests, as well as other conservation activities and incentives."

"The fund will be generated through the participation of citizens for the payment of vehicle verification fines and for a percentage obtained from the payment of tenure."

It is in the State of Queretaro, Mexico.

Is the same state that recently made mandatory in the carbon meters in all commerces and public spaces.

first Carbon meter, now carbon taxes

The phrase carbon footprint was an ad campaign started by BP in 2005.

The goal was to shift the blame from the fat cats to the little guy for simply existing.

If individuals like you and I had a carbon emissions of zero for our entire 70ish year lifespan, it would only alter the carbon in the atmosphere by a 1 second difference.

Unfortunately we're in a predicament where only the big companies can save us now.

Best way to achieve that is to mess with their bottom line.
