I agree that Cali generates a lot of tax revenue for the feds. I wanted to address the statment that..

"We get taxed for everything, the gap between the rich in the poor is to damn big. Now the Middle Class is shrinking and thanks to the US, a lot of money has been taken from us and Prices and Inflation is getting to damn big."

I would suggest that all of these problems stem from California's liberal governing philosophy more than the influence of the federal government. These policies lean greatly toward socialism which does tend to eliminate the middle class. In its place come the class of citezens to which you attribute the term lower class and the ruling class to which you attribute the term rich..I personally use the term "the elite"....or those who like to make rules for others to follow but exclude themselves on the basis of some social superiority. The bad thing about liberalism is that everyone cannot occupy this position as it depends on the majority being the former.

As for the statement that Cali doesn't get its fair share, I have no hard numbers on that one but it seems with the system it has developed, it should be. Welfare recipients, dissaster relief, and so forth but hey, if your state pays it in, it should get it back. I think we'd all be better off if the federal government played a very small role and let the states run themselves but again, that goes against Cali's liberal stance as well.

By and large, to find the answer to the majority of your problems, I think the best place to look is to the governor's office. Thats being the case, I wouldn't succeed just yet as you may find it more difficult to operate than if you hadn't because your government would almost certainly be socialist which would be a good thing if you were among the .5% of the ruling class...personally, I don't like those odds.

Our ploblem with taxes come from our local government more than anything else. Gray Davis has screwed this state good. Then we have to pay for every immigrant that comes here. CA is the "freeloaders" state. I doubt that CA will leave the union. I wouldn't mind if southern CA fell into the ocean or left the union. Who needs em,they can't even put a pitcher out to close the all star game, stupid Gagne.

Waves at Reno...hah...Reno's at 5000 - 6000 feet surrounded by mountains no less than 8000 feet with the highest being about 11000feet.

There won't be ANY waves lol

Hey but I must profess, central Californians (the more conservative ones), are pretty cool.

It's the retarded liberal coast, full of non-english speakers...single teen-parents, with an Education system, that makes a 4th grade drop out from the ozarks look like a Ph.D

Those retarded liberals provide the most taxes than any area in the US. Just so I let everybody know, if Cali would leave the Union prices would sky rocked in all areas from New York to Rural Nevada. And saying that they are not english speaking is a very stupid comment, because as I remember Native Americans didn't speak english either.

Astrocreep,
, good answer, but I would have to disagree with you, actually the only reason the middle class is disapearing is because of the heavy taxes, they have stopped the so called poor from reaching the middle class. It's not the Californian's, its the taxes, the middle class in Nevada, Arizona an Oregon and probably all the states except Mariland, Florida and New York have it easier than any other state. What a poor person makes in Cali here is what a middle class person makes in Nevada. It's just that the federal gov't takes way to much from us. We have become liberals because we have to. Northern California doesn't get taxed as heavily as Souther Cali. Once we don't get taxed like crazy, all those Cali haters might see a turnaround in Cali.

it is illegal for any state to succede from the Nation, except for Texas which can legally secede with two thirds of the population of Texas demanding it
California is beautifull just like the rest of the Planet it is the people that do not deserve to be people we need to sort out of the equation. as soon as we figure a way to make that determination or whenever the Force sees fit to do it
and the Federal Government isn't taking all your money the corrupt politicians are stealing it an the rest is being sucked up by all those immigrants and the poorly designed social system that exists
i wish i knew how to straighten that mess out, i own a home in Eureka and have not been there for three and a half years
if the federal government would seal our southern border from illegal entry instead of nation building overseas for the sake of private industry it would be a good start

I live in Northern California, just east of Sacramento and I think it is a pretty good place. There are rolling golden hills and many oaks. What makes me mad are the monkeys coming up from southern California and building all these new houses. They are plowing over the oaks and the rolling hills and building houses that all look the same. Also I get a little pissed when people from southern California call people from northern California "hicks" amd "farmers". But I still believe that California should stay with the union. California is diverse and I think that is one of the reasons why California is a good place.

The pennisula if they'd like, but we Alabamians own the panhandle and we will not tolerate losing the Redneck Riviera.
