It's well past time to say it. Despite the weaseling and finger-pointing--in fact, because of it--the Forged Niger letter is indeed the smoking gun, and the chips have yet to stop falling. Who wrote the damn thing, and on whose orders? Who cares whether Tenet, his job on the line, acquiesced to including a literal truth that actually amounts to one of the great frauds of the century? The sheer audacity and cynicism of this coterie of hacks and hustlers is simply astounding. As a teacher, I won't let six-year-olds get away with such transparent sophistry. The bottom line is that Bush knew the information was bogus, and used it anyway to convince millions to go along with his phony war.

For that alone, for the memory of the thousands of dead Iraqis and Americans, he deserves the il Duce treatment (figuratively speaking, Mr. Ashcroft-no need to start tapping my phone or putting me on no-fly lists). The criminal enterprise called the Bush administration is (Helen Thomas was right) the worst ever. Their campaign in furtherance of the conspiracy to defraud the public into buying the Iraq war is one of the the most cynical abuses of power in U.S. history. It deserves to be treated as such.

Alarmist? You bet. This guy already thinks (and occasionally tells foreign leaders) that he gets his orders from God. If these radical extremists can get away with this, then the dumbing down of America will be complete, and the stage will be set for the next wave of the nascent fascism. La Cosa Bush (apologies to the mafia) is, like all crime families, violent, arrogant, and beyond the reach of the law--so far. Bush's handlers no longer even have the decency, courage or self-restraint to prevent his criminally stupid comments from wreaking havoc around the globe. Was last week's pseudo-macho invitation to "Bring 'em on" even a mistake? Or was it another calculated ploy to make him look "tough" to the American people, playing to the ugliest side of the American psyche while once again enraging thinking people the world over. No matter--he must be stopped. This cabal has been lying, cheating, and manipulating national tragedy to force their right wing agenda down our throats long enough.

Alarmist? Maybe. Propagandist? Certainly.

Now Bush is responsible for alleged forged documents connecting Nigeria to Hussein?

LOL!

Yes, everyone, please read the article. Circle every assumption given as fact. It'll be fun, and it might keep some people's feet rooted on Terra Firma in doing so!

Then ,do u disagree with what the article says?
Come on TC be honest...
We know bush is a puppet, but he must be the most criminal puppet on earths history....

Yes, I have to say I do not agree with that, or that Bush is the most criminal puppet on earth. As a matter of fact I'll go as far as to say that such statements are so far over the top that the one indicating such appears too ludicrous to take seriously.

Bush, as a matter of fact, is the least controlled "puppet" since Ronald Reagan. He does not fall into lockstep with the U.N., thinks America First in regard to foreign affairs, and disagrees with his father on the New World Order. This makes him much less a puppet than the last two administrations.

Do I think he's a kick-butt president? No. As a matter of fact, HECK-no! Is he a good politician? One of the best.
Is he a criminal, one of the worst in history? That's about the stupidest thing I've heard in a while. You suggesting that he is more a criminal than Hussein, Kim Jung, etc. That is not even worth continuing.

Thanks for making our case so easy TC! So he's fully responsible you say ?
He's fully responsible for the administration's intelligence work ? Then i must ask, what penalty would someone inciting massmurder based on lies incur in Texas ?

from the article playing to the ugliest side of the American psyche

is EXACTLY what we're witnessing here with bush-supporters. I regret, but you are doomed to fail.

No, Moku, you may not take my words, use them out of context and try to support your assumptions with them.

I know you guys think you're on a blood trail and I know that you're excited as this is the closest thing to a real scent you've had, but it isn't much. There were many other reasons to go into Baghdad (not including the crap about liberation out of humanity's sake), so I'd quit trying to balance on a pinhead if I were y'all. Besides, the crux of the issue is not if there was credibility to the idea that Hussein was trying to get uranium from Africa (that is a known fact), but how successful is attempts were. That's where it gets shakey.

First of all he DOES agree with the New world order idea, therefore u have the idea of
www.newamericancentury.org...

dont say nonsenses Tc, he started wars "to put order on those countries in the world" it says more than new world order, is ignorant to deny it TC.

And yes, he is more criminal than any other president, he is lying to its population trying to look sane, and a kind person with smart ideas, while he is a mass murderer, he doesnt care about the earth, or nature, or environment, and he does like the violence, he was the most addict to the death penalty in texas, he is not a good person, realize that please, get real and think twice before, Tc are u aware of how many people dies per month all over the globe due to capitalism?
Lets not even mention it, when america runs the world and its economy, all the 3rd world countries are under the rule of america, if bush wants to help them, stop oil, stop chevron, stop this hypocrisy.....
Bush is evil mate, an authentical criminal more than ANY OTHER LEADER IN THE WORLD!

Exactly, Cold Anger...

In the Bush admin, the truth has become so valuable that the government has embarked on a conservation program.

Not one person from Iraq attacked the US but these creatures froom the Bush Admin, the animals, will have you believe that Saddam did it so they gan gorge on their lust for death. Their disrespect for human life in their quest for Satan's blood (oil) is so profound it staggers the imagination. These people are criminals, thugs, and, ultimately, cowards.

You may notice Bush isn't as cold as you claim.

-He hasn't gotten invovlved in Liberia's lil' half gang war half civil war thing.

-He made that giant tax cut and cut out a lot of pointless crappy government jobs.

And if your still hearing me, every President for the past 100 years has been a criminal!!! so it really doesn't matter.

Bush secured the oil fields so he'd look good on CNN for a couple of hours after everyone saw all of the oil burning, they praised Bush for preserving it.

Smart move by Bush,

Bad move Saddam,

whatever. you secure shizz as you go along.
they secured a power plant. i suppose bush is after the iraqi's power too.

then why have a pre-war meeting with the heads of the american oil companies in the white house, behind closed doors, with the subsequent notes given executive status for secrecy? Why has the vice-president gone to court against a congressional subpeona to release those notes to the public???
Why was Halliburton (the vice presidents company) given 400 million dollars in contracts that were NOT OPEN TO PUBLIC BIDDING?!
It may not have been ALL about the oil, but it sure does stink to high-heaven when you make sure your oil owning/political and financial supporters get to dip their beaks before anyone else, and hold 'indefinitely' the rights to and profits from those oil fields. All this and soldiers continue to die.
Let's not be naive.

Well,
wars cost money, the only way to recoup losses on both sides is to buy/sell oil.
it's the one thing the iraqi's had to trade for during the embargo's. it is thier countries GNP, and it wouldn't be prudent to let the outbound dictator blow up that GNP.

Why did they try to get the oilfields first? Are you all stupid or are you stoned?

Forgot about the massive oil fires in kuwait in Gulf War I? If you think that we didn't learn from that, and if you think we were wrong in trying to avoid a repeat of it, then you truly don't deserve to be posting here or to even be allowed near a computer.

Grow a brain before making accusations.

(To avoid whining, let me clarify. I'm not saying oil has nothing to do with what goes on in the middle east. I am explaining why, from a military standpoint, the oil fields were secured right away.)

CA

I am a bit disappointed.

When you use a capital P on President, it legitimizes the current incumbent in some small way.

I choose to dignify the US by referring to the criminal currently in office as 'president'. It's a temporary title.

Well id say from the past 5.000 years, presidents, kings, monarchs, they were all Criminals...
But we are suffering now from that puppet, so therefore i speak about him, no president in the world is much better than him, but bush is just getting more points of hate that anybody else in the last 50 years, but anyway they are the same s*hit with different name, they all follow the orders of the same boss...
