Heavily wooded and lots of lakes up where it crashed. It was after dark last night when it happened. What I'm hearing it doesn't appear he went down with the plane. Lots of great SAR people working the area. Not much info from friends up there. Also is the Delta Schoolcraft county line area and thats the north end of Lake Michigan too.

Little east maybe town of Cooks is on the county line. But they should know where to look.

Michigan north shore of lake Michigan where a peninsula juts south.

Thanks, Cooks put me right where the search party should be.

Fingers crossed🤞. Let this pilot see his family.
The dirt can keep the jet. Let this pilot come home.

Jeep 31 seems to be doing a search. They just found a plane last spring that was lost in the 70's east of this area. Pretty desolate. Locals could be a lot of help up there they would know the area. But no signal??

There's 2 refuelers circling the area. State police are doing nicely too.

There's 3 Coast Guard air stations close by. travers City the Soo and I believe Green Bay.

According to U.P. media reports and unconfirmed police scanner traffic from emergency crews in the area, authorities had located a crash site and also had a broad area identified that could be the pilot’s ejection site.

Real swampy wooded area.

He crossed state lines so it's his fault, should just leave him

No word on the pilot but they are still searching. Weather has been below freezing so lakes could be frozen. Probably snow. If there's snow locals will be out on snowmobiles or whatever they have to help. Have a friend that works for the state in that area.

State police chopper working the area now.

The fact that it's been 12+ hours with no word about the pilot generally means that they're going to do a recovery, not a rescue. His radio should have no trouble reaching aircraft overhead. There was word that they had found an area where his seat landed, which he should have been near if he was still alive.

One of the two tankers may be coordinating the aircraft that are searching, and acting as rescue commander.

Might have landed on the road, or switched it off as they left the search area.
