Good thing the cat doesn't like caviar.

A pet owner's worry about a missing cat ended on a hilarious and happy note, when the feline returned safely but with a note about its 'debt'.

Pretty fat boy.

Kudos to Aunty May.

In a handwritten note on the cardboard, it read: “Your cat kept eyeing the mackerels at my stall, so I gave him three." The kind shop owner who treated the animal identified herself as "Aunty May at alley no. 2”, and even passed down her number.

That's a classic con-trick, that is. Pretending to "give" something, in a fit of generosity, and then demanding payment when the other person takes it. That's been tried on me twice (by the same person, I think).

I doubt the shop owner was expecting payment.

Just a kind cat lover, in my opinion.

Send Aunty May a jug of milk in return.

The cat should be more cautious.
He may end up on the menu in the wrong place.

I'm surprised the cat left the place where they fed it the fish. Maybe the person dropped off the cat at their house.

She looks like a little bobcat or a lynx.
Big paws and a big head....good luck man!!
She or he seems like a good friend to have around...I wish you well.

Somebody said the cat did not look apologetic. Well, no. Cats do not apologize.

Hahah funny nonetheless.
I had a cat disappear from our house for just over 1 year.
Then I was on the net one morning and someone had a found cat, with a picture of our cat.
I got ahold of the person. Asked does the cat have a kink at the end of her tail?
Sure enough it was our girl Adrienne.
We drove the hour across town to the country side and got her.
Brought her to the vet. She had pneumonia And worms.
We got her treated and in a week she was back to normal.

No clue how she got out,
Or travelled across the entire city to the country side.
But we were so thankful that the old lady who found her wandering around brought her in and posted an ad for her.
Her and her brother turned 11 over the summer.

That's great!

I definitely would have brought my cat back to her booth with cash where the note was! Let the cat finish the transaction.

You’re right!

That is just one more reason I love cats. They are going to do what they want to do and don’t give a damn. Much respect for America’s favorite pet.
