You know... the independent voters.

We are normally about 25% Democrat, 25% Republican and 50% independent here in terms of voters... although those numbers are skewing right lately because of the actions of the Democrats the last few years.

All this poster sees about our situation is CNN Overseas and bases his posts and thoughts on the American political scene on that alone.

So the poster isn't living in reality, but merely a construct the media has built for them.

I agree with you up to your voting opinion. I feel like more change would come about if no one voted and WE took the power back.

How do you "move to the center" with folks who will scream in your face, drink your beer, smash your food to the ground, etc., until you comply with their demands?

It seems to me they aren't moving anywhere, so any moving that happens will be on your part, to your knees.

For decades governments, politicians and their big money puppet masters in the background did everything to divide the people. One example is that "left" and "right" thing. The worst nightmare of those that rule are people united. Then they get very nervous. Happened in germany with those protests because of and against the politically subscribed Corona measures.

They got so nervous seeing the people not fighting each other but walking together and protesting against the government that they needed to stage a false flag event called (only by them) Reichstagssturm. It was not a storm, not a wind, not even the fart of a baby. To have an excuse to speed up their plans to build a trench around the Reichstag and hide from the obvisiously "potential terrorist" german tax payer. They used even a cop as superheroe which is known as TV actor. They knew that the stage right in front of the Reichstag at the day of the "Sturm" was part of a legal demonstration registered by a well known Neonazi, former NPD member and "Reichsbürger" and that these people planned that "Sturm" for at least one week in their social media echo bubbles. And yet their were only "three heroic cops wich saved Germany and it´s democracy that day". There are videos of that day which show two people, one of them with something like glasses, standing on the roof of another building, free sight on the Reichsbürger stage and the Reichstag and it´s stairs. Not a few people think this were Verfassungsschutz V-Männer, secret service agents giving commands and watching over their staged event.

The politicians and their puppet masters know that they went to far with their (Green Deal, Covid, New Normal, Great Reset, Industry4.0, making a few rich richer and making everybody else poor and Co) game and what will come in the next one or two years over them. And they noticed that their "divide the people to rule" plan didn´t work as wished at the end. And got really, really nervous because of that fact and can´t hide from the tax paying german people fast enough now. They couldn´t use the Corona/Covid excuse for everyhing this time and had to go back to the well known terrorist excuse. Which makes all german tax payers look like potential terrorist the "political elite" needs to hide from and being protected from. Fun fact, that trench will be build, of course, with german tax payers money.

If we, the people(of wherever something needs to be changed to a better), want to change something we need to stop to fight each other and unite against those that don´t want anything changed because they maybe could lose a bit of their profits, wealth and maybe would have to share with the "rubble" and pay their price like taxes, same as the "rubble", too.

At this point in time there is no center.
At least not anyone from it that is running.

No.

You're still talking about giving up control of large parts of an economy to the government and being taxed out the nose accordingly to pay for it.

We have a couple such systems already here in the US - USPS and the public education system. Can you honestly and with a straight face tell me they are the very pinnacle of efficiency and performance in doing what they are supposed to do? Can you tell me they constantly run within or even under budget in getting their job done? Are they even close?

If not, then why on earth should compromise any more by giving up more sectors of our economy to total government control? It seems to me like this would be a clear downgrade. We have some cities where up to 50% or more of the student body graduates functionally illiterate, and the USPS is a giant, money sucking black hole that has chronic problems in its operations.
