In the event that the election is disputed and remains unresolved on January 20, 2021

"Dear General Milley:

As chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, you are well aware of your duties in ordinary times: to serve as principal military advisor to the president of the United States, and to transmit the lawful orders of the president and Secretary of Defense to combatant commanders. In ordinary times, these duties are entirely consistent with your oath to “support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic…
Lest you forget:

“I, Mark A. Milley, do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God.”

The fate of our Republic may well depend upon your adherence to this oath.

Respectfully yours,

John Nagl and Paul Yingling"
LINK TO FULL LETTER

I cut out the rest of the letter because it's all about forcefully escorting Trump from the white house.

Here is my point, if it comes to this and the military is forced to choose even though he said within the last 24hrs they wouldn't and of coarse they need to say that and have to say this no matter what hoping that all other processes resolve this.

Bottom line that it comes down to his oath, "In his perception what is the domestic threat level against the constitution"
If he feels Trump is the domestic enemy from the scenario that develops he would act accordingly, but what if he feels it is Biden/Harris, if the Joint Chiefs feels that what transpired is a clear threat to America more powerful than the peaceful transfer of power?

Indeed....."The fate of our Republic may well depend upon your adherence to this oath."

Last time I checked, Millie still smelled like a POS.

Don't you worry anymore about the outcome of the election though. Nobody's gonna vote for a guy who can't string the sentences of a thought together. And nobody trusts Kamala enough to run the country either. If you thought 0bama was bad, party-girl Harris wants you to hold her beer.

Lmao, the irony isn't lost on me.

Yeah I had one of those laugh out loud moments. Like literally laughing still!

Sure smells like the Democrats are operating off planning to win the popular vote and lose the EC doesn't it? Then they refuse to concede and hope the military sides with them.

I feel as though it should be the citizens of certain communities to put their feet down with or without the support of local government, police, or military aid. We should be policing our own, sometimes the kids (sometimes in their late 20's or 30's or whatever kids are kids) need a spanking. I say spank away.

If it were to come to that, many forget about the COG. The White House is referred to as the "Castle" by Secret Service. Where is the 2nd "Castle" and what General was just promoted to 4-stars and just got sworn-in as the New Commander of it? Remember we're all still under a NATIONAL Emergency.

Think Castle under the Rock.

If the scenario where the election is still undecided by Jan 6, then Sen. Chuck Grassley would become interim President and Mike Pompeo would be the VP. Will NOT be drunken Pelosi because her term as speaker expires on January 3, 2021.

The scenario is that ALL national elections are FUBAR because of mail-in voting.

THE ENTIRE HOUSE IS UP FOR ELECTION.

In a normal election, the new House would convene on January 3, 2021.

The new speaker is elected by the members-elect of the new House.
If the entire national election is FUBAR, there is no new House.
There is no provision for the previous House to take over temporarily.
Pelosi's term as speaker expires on January 3, 2021.

Personally, I don't believe the presidential election will be undecided.

Seems to me it is hard to trust the outcome of the vote anymore.

I think that the initial scenario, at least, is clear. The Democrats are going to cheat out the wazoo. When called on it, they will do what they always do; gaslight. They'll claim that the Republicans and the President are the problem and play the victim, even though everybody will know without any reasonable level of deniability they they have cheated. There will be more votes cast in many districts than there are registered voters. There will be votes from dead people. They will be pulling votes out of their butts, but it will - as always - be the other guys who will be accused of doing what they will have done.

At this point, it's up to the American people to make the decision, perhaps in the streets. It won't be pretty.

The sad thing is how the extremists on both sides display their disdain for the common ordinary citizen. They've convinced themselves that only they know the answers and that the average person is too dumb to be trusted with an election. The gall. Really. We need to get rid of these extremists, but how? They know no shame. They're zealots. Maybe if we socially ostresize them. Shun them and their inflammatory rhetoric. It's so sad.

I guess social media control will never allow that.

I didn't get that sense from the RNC convention. That's not to say that I think that the RNC is perfect or that Donald Trump is going to save America from itself. Honestly, I think that maybe America, at this point, deserves the Biden-Harris ticket. I hope not. I pray not. But ...
