Channel migrants: Nine boats arrive with 125 men and women on board

I would say this is getting bloody ridiculous but as its been going on for so long now it's well past the point of ridiculous and bordering on the point of obvious duplicity by French authorities !

The French have once again managed not to notice the daily flotilla of boats heading out of their waters into British waters but yesterday managed to stop a kayak with 3 migrants aboard and a broken down boat bobbing about in their waters .... well done mon'ami now award yourself a croissant and coffee for your efforts.

The migrants would be interviewed and dealt with in line with immigration rules, transferring to detention where appropriate, it added.

I'd say trying to illegally enter a country means they would all be detained and returned to their point of origin but these days with this useless Home Secretary they will likely be granted leave to stay , Priti Patel was in France last week to discuss this matter yet still no action has been taken even in the face of evidence provided by Nigel Farage that French authorities are complicit in the crossings with French Coast Guard vessels escorting boats to British waters.

Priti Patel told the Commons Home Affairs Committee the British and French governments disagreed on whether it would be lawful to intercept boats.

Mr Dumont said: "It's not true to say we are doing nothing, it's quite the opposite actually."

Yeah but that's the fault of the courts , as I understand it she won an appeal to the government victory so this decision will also be subject to appeal I suspect.

A guy on the radio 2 Vine show cracked it yesterday , she should stay there but be taken to a secure connected area where she can attend the hearing virtually.

If the Begum case stands that has a knock on effect for all of them.

Thats what I mean about the law and government getting a grip. When ever

this sort of thing crops up they are in competition with each other.

Thank you for mansplaining that. So it sounds like it’s more a style of punch. Though you did associate it with a specific circumstance (a ho getting too uppity). I was hoping I would be able to bitch slap someone, but alas I don’t have any hoes.

OP: I do appreciate your thread and I did watch the video and I do share your sentiments (if I lived in Great Britain, anyway). Just wanted to mention that, since my only contribution thus far has been to draw out Aug’s awesome comments and alas a little off topic. Sorry bout that.

Why not just recognise the sovereignty of the Syrian government and have the Kurds hand over the prisoners. As long as there's no executions and we can trust this to be the case then they can be trialed elsewhere. I know I'm giggling myself... There's no solution in Syria.

We tried to make her stateless though, that's not a good thing to be allowing. That's how the terrorists win when we start pissing on rights our forefathers died for. That said I don't think they want to solve problems like this. They've pushed it down the road on purpose.

Yet there's plenty of solutions we could do internationally, crimes against humanity should be applicable for outlawing people. But the world has to agree on things like that.

The UK isn't going back on it's death penalty but we could charge her with crimes relating to treason, charter new crimes against humanity laws.

Either way she's our business. Ideally we'll find a new international way that all agree on in regards to terrorists... Because ISIS was created in Iraqi jail cells
