A Heartfelt thanks to Mods and owners

After being here for a while, you interact with quite a few folks. SO, and Springer have always been nice and fair. Both have helped with silly issues that seemed huge to me at the time. Several Mods have been equally as helpful. Argentus has been a friend, Don't Tread on Me has been the guy who has to let me know when I'm being an ass ( sorry to keep you so busy), Sauron was always a good friend.

Augustus never seemed to elevate to Mod status, but has had a presence here forever, and between he and his sock puppet DB, they keep me thinking about my stance on things.

If ATS was gone tomorrow, my life will have been better lived having it as a part. Thank you SO, Springer, and Simon (in heaven), and thank you for all the moderators who spend their time keeping us in line for such meager pay. (I heard they make less than 6 figures from this site)

Clyde Lewis is opening up his library to monetization. I sent word but not sure how it may align with this site. I know he and his team lurks.

DToM, always fair but I always wonder what happened to all those points he confiscated from me.

Perhaps Clyde Lewis and Alex Jones could team up and make some kind of deal. I'd pay big money to be involved in that mess.

Yes. Moderators and Owners have kept ATS a top-quality discussion venue, even though the subject matter spans a huge range of human interests.

I thought AboveTopSecret.com was merely considering shutting down, if a way to stay solvent was not found. Has a final decision been made, JinMI? Your post indicates that it has. Please advise. Tks.

We're not looking for donations or investment. If no buyer steps forward, we will be faced with the need to shut down.


Thanks for the sentiment of this thread. This has been an amazing hobby-turned-business that has been fortunate to impact many people in a positive way. Very few people have such an opportunity. Thank you, members, for giving me that opportunity.

Thanks for replying. Lots of threads full of feelings and ideas on the subject. I wasn't sure what the present status is.

Is there a single thread that we should follow to know when an actual shut-down date has been determined?

I am glad I came to ATS. It gave me the incentive to keep up my research. It gave me leads to follow. It stimulated my interest.

It will be hard to find another place that will keep me interested in learning.
