Chinese Agents Spread Messages That Sowed Virus Panic in U.S.

WASHINGTON — The alarming messages came fast and furious in mid-March, popping up on the cellphone screens and social media feeds of millions of Americans grappling with the onset of the coronavirus pandemic.

Spread the word, the messages said: The Trump administration was about to lock down the entire country.

“They will announce this as soon as they have troops in place to help prevent looters and rioters,” warned one of the messages, which cited a source in the Department of Homeland Security. “He said he got the call last night and was told to pack and be prepared for the call today with his dispatch orders.”

Since that wave of panic, United States intelligence agencies have assessed that Chinese operatives helped push the messages.

I find this very interesting news and it makes me wonder if the Chinese were pushing this to help cover over the short comings in their handling of the virus in their own country and then spreading it world wide. Make more noise, propaganda and panic in the U.S. about peoples rights being abused and it helps shine the light away from China and stop Americans investigating how China handled the virus.

Sounds like the possibility of being "politically motivated".

Many groups have beefs with the current Administration 😤

No doubt this was taking place.
Look at all the fake stories that were circulated on social media...designed to scare the population.

From personal experience...here's a couple we were subjected to via my wife's FB:
-A cashier at our local Kroger has CV.
-Martial Law being imposed in our area next week.
-Fairgrounds in our area spotted being filled with tanks and military tents.


All of these were along the lines of "a friend told me..."
ALL were bunk.

Funny, there was a thread here on ATS saying a very similar message as what you quoted. Of course most told him it was BS.

I would expect other countries to do that kind of thing. Is it a coverup or a warning of things to come? I am glad they informed us, but they cannot comprehend how our society works here, they did that kind of thing there, but our societies are much different and they may have just been trying to warn us. Because that is what they experienced there.

I do not think there was ill intent there, it is how some reacted to this that could have caused the problem though. Our leaders handled this appropriately, other than lying to us by collecting death rates improperly to make their actions look justifiable. They were scared in Government how this might turn out too, maybe they should have reacted differently, but they had nothing to go by. Many of the elderly people who died would have died if a very transmittable flu came around, and the same with people who take immune blocking meds to dampen autoimune diseases. The old with compromised immune systems, those over seventy, the vaccine will not protect them because they have a very wore out immune system and many of them are on meds necessary to control diseases. Diet and identifying metabolic intolerances can better help those that are younger and having problems with autoimmune diseases causing them problems. Identifying the triggering chemistry is better than blocking the symptoms from manifesting.

I am intolerant to tomato chemistry, I can have a little, but if I eat them more than once a week, I get problems. My body can handle a little. Now I noticed if I eat olives on my salad, the immune response is less. So I started eating more tomatoes for a while, then eating olives with it. The olives take care of some of the problems, but still I learned I cannot start eating lots of tomatoes, it causes problems in my gut yet. Taking a medical treatment does not solve the problem, it only helps so much. Most meds have side effects too, which create other problems in lots of people, necessitating more meds to deal with those issues. I test on myself a lot and understand that many people are not intolerant to tomatoes or bananas. I cannot eat bananas when I eat potatoes or tomatoes, but I can eat potatoes if I do not eat bananas. Bananas make my reaction to tomatoes worse though, I get allergic to the latex in my underware latex if I eat tomatoes or potatoes in the same day as I eat a banana or avacado. But that is different than the other intolerance i have to tomatoes.

That was an example, tomatoes seem to hyperactivate my immune system too much, maybe when I get in my eighties, I will need that chemistry. You can use an intolerance to treat a disease sometimes. But with this disease, I have not figured out what ways my intolerances can help yet, so I am focusing on disabling the virus to lessen the damage and combining that with still trying to gain lifetime immunity.

I wish I had people who know as much as I do with open minds to discuss this stuff with to figure out this stuff. But most of them got degrees and wouldn't even consider what I am looking at, they are conditioned to make money for their companies, they cannot think out of the box very well.

The CCP should just sit back and allow their western assets do the job for them!
The Globalist/Corporate owned media seem to be doing a fine if not better job.
Many politicians are already promoting CCP propaganda as well.

From where I'm sitting at, this is partial truth. Is our country not still in a lockdown? Is there not police at every freakin park, beach,and patrolling non essential businesses making sure they remain closed and not conducting business?

I received one of those messages as an Emergency Alert text to my phone on March 17th!

"We need doctors and nurses fast in Chicago! Please come help us!!"

(I'm not medically trained, except with putting on band-aids)

Exactly. With the exception of my quickly trash binned Coronavirus/fart and fresh camel urine threads...if it wasn't for CCP trolls, we wouldn't have any new topics to talk about on ATS.

Remember the Harvard Scientist Dr. Charles Lieber (-1sp) that was busted for being a possible spy for China. He was part of the 1000 Talent program of China. The program consist of tracking and recruiting the best talents the world over to help and show the CCP how things can be done (steal propitiatory information) . Charles was paid $50 thousand a month with another 158 thousand for living expenses plus was given 1.47 million to set up a lab in Wuhan China; all that was on top of his Harvard salary. This one case is but one of many IMO which has been found out . People have no idea how insidious and just darn good at steering a populations thoughts and procuring a states secrets the CCP's programs are.

The CCP along with their sympathizers need to be done away with; although I must admit I do not know how as they are like a cancer upon earth. Their means of infecting the world body is through MONEY and the buying of politicians, news organizations, and anyone else they want to own.

I think the 1000 talent program is a play off of the old Chinese torture method of 1000 cuts where the very last cut was always fatal. Most did not make it to 1000 as the cuts were carried out over a prolonged period of time depending on what you were sentenced for and if they thought you had information they wanted...

Hmmm... perhaps we should assign a special counsel to look into this because it sounds like they were attempting to influence our upcoming elections with this. Probably should look deeply into which US politicians at all levels took the Chinese ball and ran with it, orchestrating actions that not only relied on this artificial panic, but made it (and other things) a lot worse.

Isn't it time for all to accept that the whole damn thing has been a mass orchestrated misinformation campaign. NO I'M NOT SAYING THE VIRUS ISN"T REAL !! So much stuff from primarily Gov. & Gov. related businesss designed to cause mass confusion. Time really to look beyond it & see what these bastard$ are using it to cover the real prize for them is.
