Is there any way to store a video posted on youtube before it disappears?

ATS says my post is too short, so I guess I'll post why I want to store a video. It was the following. I think there's a good chance both FB and youtube will kill it, because the ramifications could be intense.

I apologize if this isn't the right place to ask for help with downloading stuff onto a computer. I really don't where the right place would be, only that someone on ATS--and probably multiple someone's--know how to do this if it can be done.

There's a handful of free tools available online. Some are for donations to the developers, but not required to use the full versions of the program. A quick Google search for 'youtube downloader' should suffice to get you heading in the right direction.

Careful , in some cases downloading a YouTube video using third party software is considered a violation of YouTube's Terms of Service.
Also , it can be a copyright violation unless one owns the video , or has express permission.

I'm sending you a PM with a link to the program I use. It works perfectly and it's free.

I use to use some type of add on to my firefox browser that would do just that in several formats. Then you store it on your hard
drive , thumb drive or any other memory.
