It's pronounced ing-vay, yes very odd

I was at sam goody lookin for a cd by him before I knew a lot about him, and I walked up to the clerck dude, and I said "I'm lookin for a cd by yang-wee malmsteen" and was then put to shame and embarrasment as he explained to me the "correct" pronounciation. Its cool though
