And this time NASA said it could hurt Earth...

I was thinking: can COVID be a way of preparing us from what's coming next months and the chaos that an asteroid impact could cause on civilization as we know it?

there's something weird about this virus, it's like we are being tested, to see if we panic and accept home confinement without rioting... i can feel it, there's something more than meets the eye to this whole coronavirus thing.

I'd rather die due to an asteroid impact than by COVID-19 to be honest.

Anyway, also waiting on that article.

I think right now the world has bigger fish to fry. One doom scenario at a time please.

If it is less than 100' long and almost four million miles from Earth when it passes on Wednesday, it sounds like a lot more hype and hysteria baiting to me.

Maybe there are two? I looked at Google News and this is the one I found.

How will hoarding toilet paper protect us from an as-. . . .

Ahhhh!

It's coming allright... 4 million miles away from earth though.

I like doom n gloom but I think we should worry about other things than an asteroid passing us about 16 times the Earth-moon distance

That's all we need now a giant asteroid banging into the planet.

Along with the COVID19, if that happens, then we may know something apocalyptic is going on.

Large asteroid will fly by the Earth next month, but won't hit us, reassures NASA

www.cnn.com...

CNN)On April 29, an asteroid estimated to be between 1.1 and 2.5 miles wide will fly by Earth. But it's not expected to collide with our planet, thankfully. If it did, the asteroid is "large enough to cause global effects," according to NASA, back when the asteroid was first discovered.

The asteroid is called 52768 (1998 OR2) and it was first spotted in 1998. It will pass within 3,908,791 miles of Earth, moving at 19,461 miles per hour.
The flyby is expected to occur on Wednesday, April 29, at 4:56 a.m. ET, according to NASA's Center for Near Earth Object Studies. They track Near-Earth Objects that could collide with Earth.

Put the apocalypse book away it's not going to hit us.

Close though.

I'm not sure of anything, I'm just going by what I read.

Nevertheless...I think its time to get a survival kit!
