Great find! Never heard of them, really cool stuff. Yeah the garage/protopunk/psych bands were another great branch of early punk. Here's a few of my
favorites:
Young Gary Webb was an ambitious punk trying to make a name for himself with his band Tubeway Army.
He eventually found fame and fortune after ditching the band adopting the Numan surname.
Here's a brilliant reworking of one of his old songs to fit his new personna.
