The magnitude difference is you can get a flu shot (vaccine) in a pharmacy. No coronavirus vaccine.

Anyway, your numbers are not comparable until Coronavirus gets spread all over the world like the flu. That didn't happen yet. So you need to wait if you want to compare both.

You ever think how polluted China is. And that might make the Chinese population more susceptible. Or that China lives more social and crowded? It could have been a lot less if the Chinese decided to follow the warnings given to them by their own people back in december 2019.

They waved it off like it was nothing.

From your OP quotes, one paper quoting a professor, says there is not a confirmation as to where the woman was diagnosed, but that she was "Transferred to a Specialist treatment centre in London" that may have been from a story in The Sun, and while The Sun is mentioned in the report. While it does also appear that the woman is a Londoner, the woman may already have been quarantined elsewhere..perhaps Heathrow, where they do have a disease control facility since the later part of January, that was initially for travellers from Wuhan, although it must surely have expanded that to all travellers, in a primary capacity at least, at this time.
