What METAL Band do you think that was/is the best? And I mean all kinds of metal:deaath,trash,black,heavy,dark,etc :bnghd:

Judas Priest with Metallica running a very close second.

Metallica would get my vote were it not for them acting like a bunch of pansies regarding MP3's

I thought Sabbath came on the scene well before "heavy metal". They'd be my pick. If you're looking at 80's metal I'd go with Megadeth. Either them or Wham.

Death Metal: Spawn (nephew's band)

Favourite song called 'Metal': Gary Numan's, also as covered by Tapeworm/Trent Reznor... and in a small way, Marc Bolan's 'Metal Guru'

Least liked: Metallica. Go figure.

Deftones are pretty good probably not the best though, slayer is way up there too.

a little later got into KMFDM
