Interesting...
Perhaps porn is the black ball factor,
and an explanation to the Fermi Paradox.
ie: Civilization invents porn and the internet, and then proceeds to jerks it's self off to extinction.
A glorious exit of auto erotic asphyxiation.
Impressive really.

It’s partly the internet, people swiping and what not.

What people eat possibly

No morals

obesity is indeed a factor in some western countries.
Obesity doesn't seem to be a problem in the Balkans/Greece either.

people masturbating more over porn.

Porn sites are nothing more then fake actors with sets.
And underpaid actors acting out, when will people realize that? its like a movie production nothing is real on those porn sites or porn industry in general.

If anything those porn sites are degenerating western men, ruining families.

That's too rational. Without reading ahead I will predict that this answer is ignored in favor of soothsayer nonsense and generalized "anti-them" hysteria.

I have ony two words to explain fertility rate decline:

Toxoplasma gondii

The T. Gondii pathogen infects nearly half of the world's population. It was carried to humans by cats. It causes a wide array of symptoms, including decrease of fertility, and behavioural changes in both men and women.

More info on how it affects fertility:

www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov...

You seem to be suggesting that Cats and their Symbiotes are plotting to take over the world.
I like this theory. The fact that many spinsters collect cat, lends it some credence.

It isn't cats, it's gene-spliced mice that want to take over the world.

I think this was put in place somewhere - somehow.

It's possible it could be the byproduct of all of the harmfuls that we put in the our dirt, our water and so forth. I've discovered that cancer in young adults seems to be more common here in this part of Texas seems a little strange. Never seen so many people I actually knew face to face that died around the same time from various types of cancers....

It's possible that 'someone' is tinkering with the birth rates on purpose.

Though, I'm sure I'm not the only one getting the eerie feeling that there is a mass 'thinning of the herd' in our future. This seems to be a not so uncommon topic as of late. I honestly feel something big is about to go down and gut feeling says.... Hmmm I'll write a detailed topic on a seemingly credible prediction that involves the whole world and no so far off. I see a pattern of things in strategic places, like a chess board set to play and a few moves have been dealt already.

....or I'm just nutz

I think its an agenda. This low fertility rates is only happening in Europe and North America.

Not quite. Japan and some other countries are also suffering low rates.

A lot of the falling fertility rate is due to obesity, and people masturbating more over porn.

Its lifestyle related more than anything else.

Interesting take on it. Lol

I'm curious. How do morals fit into the picture from your perspective?

What if a general rise in morality is the causal factor.

Let me give you the governing factors in the Western world. As been alluded to in previous posts. Firstly the governments lambasting couples that have more than 2 children. They promoted the nuclear family, 2 parents and 2 children.
the cost of living which is dictated by governments ie. men and women HAVING to work through the prime child bearing years because they can't "afford" to have children. Could this be classed as selfish because the populace has had it drummed into them that to have a child you "must" be able to financially sound to look after it.
Then you get the added stigma of families with more than 3 children being ostracised ie. to have that many children one or the other parent must stay at home to look after them properly and that ALWAYS brings out the selfishness (especially in America) in them saying "why should MY tax dollars go toward looking after idlers families" "they're scrounging off the state".
Why, because the state has made it impossible for a single parent (in a family) working to afford a comfortable living without claiming off the state.
So in reality the government is using income to suppress couples from having children.

Women are more independent, educated, and are probably more aware of the downfalls of having kids too early.

Values are changing.

Im sure diet and food additives do effect the population life expectancy, but i think birth rates are solely due to a more educated population.

So TPTB are doing a VERY slow reduction in population that will take lifetimes for what? That just seems silly. It makes much more sense that a less educated population with fewer birth controls will produce more babies than a population with high education and birth controls.

It seems obvious to me.

For example, people who would prefer the easy online hookup over an actual relationship, increasing spread of disease and an dramatic increase in stds. The whole instant gratification thing demoralizes some people, and adds to the breakdown of a family unit.

- another factor would be the cost.

I think a lot of people decide to stay single these days between 18 and 40 due to work and other issues plus all the negativity in the media surrounding relationships and marriage breakups portrayed as an every day thing.

My experience is you’re right that this Is a big factor. I know several 30-40 year old guys who have never been married nor have any children but also are very successful, financially stable and would make good fathers IMO. They just choose not to do it so they don’t get taken for half their stuff.

There’s also the aspect of rampant infidelity. No, this isn’t a new phenomenon but i know multiple dudes who will never marry because they view it as a farce - their wife will end up banging the pool boy or something and the whole notion of marriage is a sham.

I’m not saying I agree with all of the above but this is the commentary I’m hearing.

Mike Adams of Natural News has put together a strong presentation on the the depopulation agenda.

oblivionagenda.com

I don't know. He makes a good argument and well worth considering for anyone who wants to check out all the angles before committing.
