This may have been posted earlier. I am not sure but it's relevant to know in this day and age where the Catholic Church continues with their secrecy and outdated policy of holy abstinence amongst their clergy.

The Catholic Church has launched an investigation after two nuns became pregnant while carrying out missionary work in Africa. The two women have not been named but they are both reported to originally be from Africa and now belong to two different orders in Sicily. The pair were posted to their home continent as part of their charity mission, but upon returning home they discovered they were pregnant, despite having taken a vow of chastity.

This stuff probably happens quite often as it pertains to sex but having both nuns become pregnant is a little different. One of the nuns reportedly is a Mother Superior, which is eye opening.

Perhaps hopefully this wont be racist thing to say as SJWs claim, but i think its time for nuns to stop their missionary work in Africa, when knowing some of them would probably be abused without them knowing it.

African born nuns shouldn’t do missionary work in Africa?

Oh ok.

Physical and sexual abuse is a real thing but nothing in the article indicates remotely that it was definite sexual abuse. Rather, it seemed pretty consensual and these nuns didn't report anything at all until one complained of abdominal pain and was discovered.

On another note, church membership is down worldwide BUT membership is booming in Africa. The Catholic Church is heavily invested in making sure they promote and recruit as many members as possible out of Africa and there is nothing that will stop them from making this happen so the notion of stopping missionary work in Africa is misguided and not in the best interest of the Catholic Church.

It doesn't surprise me, many Popes had children, and we have the alleged "Banquet of Chestnuts":-

One the one hand, they broke their vow of chastity.

On the other, they didn't use contraception?

So your go-to was that White women were raped by Black Africans?

Who could ever think of that kind of thing as racist, eh?

JK, it’s not racist, it’s just sad.

I agree. It was an odd conclusion to jump to.

I disagree that it wasn't racist. It isn't, necessarily, but it is likely.

My first thought, upon reading, was why is an investigation needed?

Pretty apparent what happened. They had intercourse.

A mother superior is surprising though.

I suppose rape is a possibility, but I would think it would have been reported.

Far be it from me (at least these days) to criticize someone else’s religion, but, yeah, there’s a real simple explanation for pregnancy.

Old as sin.

But the big story on action news, two women get pregnant.

They are women, apparently fertile. They got pregnant.
Big whoop.
But they are Catholic nuns and took a vow of chastity!
So?
How many people (women and men) take vows of matrimony and fail to live up to them? Tons.
They are human, we all are.
We fail to live up to our promises.

I would be more surprised if they didn’t contract HIV.

I use to call them None instead of Nun, because they weren’t giving any. I guess I have to change that.

i thought the catholic church gave a special dispensation for priests and such to have sex while in Africa years ago? something about Africa and having sex, seems to have always been a big problem for the Catholic church.
