Pence has stuck with Trump all along without getting fired or resigning, how many others have made it that far.

I am a little disappointed, I picked the Best VP to consider who to vote for thinking that Trump and Hillary would never finish a term. Hillary's VP sucked. He was even worse than she was.

That all goes back to the election of 1852 and the end of the Whig Party. Millard Fillmore was the last Whig POTUS and supported the Compromise of 1850 (and the Fugitive Slave Act) but Willard Scott was a Northern Whig anti-slaver (from Boston I think) and lost big time to Franklin Pierce a Democrat who was also a Northerner but followed the Democrat Party line on pro-slavery.

It ended the Whigs and any voter support for a non Democrat Northerner for decades to come in the South. Especially post Civil War.
