Ancient Earth Drawings Found in Peru

I wish they had some photos of these drawings! I am just tickled & thrilled at all the discoveries being made as of late!

"The drawings — which include human figures as well as animals such as birds, monkeys, and felines — are believed to be created by members of the Paracas culture sometime between 600 and 100 B.C., Johny Islas, the director of the Andean Institute of Archaeological Studies, told the newspaper.

One prominent figure appears to represent a deity commonly depicted on textiles and ceramics from the period, Islas said."

The article isn't that long and about half of it talks about the Nazca lines. The jist of the article is about figures and animals etched into earth that predates that of the Nazca lines, done by those of the Paracas culture. It's an interesting find nonetheless.
