Self-admitted Russian spy Maria Butina’s Republican operative boyfriend wrote in private communications that he was involved in setting up a “very private line of communication” between Russia and the Trump campaign using the National Rifle Association as a “conduit.”

And that up to $30 million may have passed from Putin to the Trump campaign through this conduit.

“Unrelated to specific presidential campaigns,” Erickson wrote in October 2016, in an email to an acquaintance now in possession of the FBI, “I’ve been involved in securing a VERY private line of communication between the Kremlin and key [unnamed political party] leaders through, of all conduits, the [unnamed gun-rights organization].”

.... starting to sound a lot like the NRA have been involved in treason ....

Starting to sound like someone's ripping off Salon articles.

sounds like crickets with the lack of trump related threads praising the all mighty on ats, as nails get bitten down to the flesh....

It's almost as if.......it's not about how "wonderful" Trump is, but actually, how CORRUPT the system seems to be. But don't you worry about that sport, everything is going your way, so smile and nod, you are "winning".

Wow what a misleading headline!

engaging in conspiracy against US

WOW

She has confessed to being a Russian spy, trying to infiltrate a major US lobby group.

She, and her handlers, conspired to influence US politics during the time-frame of 2016 Presidential election.

Despite insistence of some that Mueller's investigation is a waste of money, this exactly fits the brief that Mueller is investigating and validates its necessity.

Letter appointing Mueller as Special Counsel

The only possibly misleading part of the headline is that now she has confessed guilt, it is no longer just an allegation.

sweet, the culprit has been found, justice will be served, and everyone can go home and eat a nice dinner now. Oh wait, nobody was able to kick Trump, so the work isn't quite done yet. perhaps soon?

The Special Counsel was not briefed to target Trump.

He is investigating Russian interference in the 2016 elections.

The Special Counsel is authorized to conduct the investigation confinned by then-FBI Director James 8. Corney in testimony before the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence on March 20, 2017, including:

(i) any links and/or coordination between the Russian government and individuals
associated with the campaign of President Donald Trump; and
(ii) any matters that arose or may arise directly from the investigation; and
(iii) any other matters within the scope of 28 C.F.R. § 600.4(a).

In every crime there must be 4 things :
1) Law infringement
2) Offender
3) Victim
4) Motive

Where is the motive that justifies Butina's crime, and what is her crime ?
According to the latest news, the law infringement is that she did not register as a foreign agent.
The problem here is : Was she acting as a foreign agent ? For what purpose ?
In other words : must anyone who is in the US with a student visa, register as a foreign agent ?

This has all the potential to play into the hands of Robert Mueller, rather than playing into the hands of the US prosecutor against Butina.

To re-formulate :

Who did Butina attempt to bribe or otherwise alter his/her judgement in favor of policies in support of Russia ?
What are the policies that Butina attempted to alter by lobbying on the "target person" of the previous question ?

NOTE : If you are supporting the NRA, which is a purely US Association, you cannot be accused of supporting Russia.
A confession or guilty plea is not a conviction if there's lack of either of the 4 points listed above.

This whole story sounds just another EU-manufactured bullcrap against the US constitutional 2nd amendment and also sounds like a great pretext for returning to the Russia-gate nonsense and yet another attempt by Christopher Steele, William Browder and Mikhail Khodorkovsky to ring down the US administration.

Every Russian citizen is guilty of conspiracy against the US. Simple reason. Russia and America are enemy states.

She's a spy. Of course, she plead guilty to make Trump look bad. Damage American politics.
