For me it's the one about those words
"one small step for ( A ) man ,
... one giant leap for mankind "
As I sat with the entire primary school watching the landing ,
one kid was pulled up by a teacher for talking to his mates ....
"what are you talking about , ...
we are all trying to listen to this .... ?
Well sir , I was telling my friends what the first words will be ,
when he steps off the ladder "
And what would they be ...?
One small step for A man ,
one giant leap for mankind .
( i didn't put quotation marks around that because it was me )
" write it on the blackboard " I said .
He did .
Five minutes later , and well ... the rest is history ...
even though he forgot to insert the "a"
And remember , I have 600 + witnesses who were at that assembly ....
"how did you know that?" he asked .
Because my father, at the time, was a rocket scientist ,... and NASA asked me for
an appropriate statement .
I said .
Many high fives and you're a legend later
Hawthorndene Primary School knows who's the man ...
... and I was all of 8 years old ....
So suck it up NASA
